Hi Reader, Do you ever find yourself daydreaming about your next holiday…. Maybe you're sitting there wishing you could plan your next trip... But then reality kicks in. "I don't have enough annual leave." "Work is too busy." "I can't afford it just yet." It can sometimes feel like you're stuck in a constant cycle of dreaming about travel without ever booking the next adventure. We completely understand this feeling. We both work full-time and are always dreaming of our next adventure. But that’s the thing. Something we’ve learnt over the years of working full-time, while still making travel a big part of our lives, is that travelling isn’t always about the big extravagant holidays, or about having more holiday leave. It’s actually about making the most of the time you already have. A short weekend away, a short city break, or exploring somewhere in your home country can still give you that feeling of escaping your normal routine. And sometimes those shorter trips are the ones that keep you motivated for the bigger adventure. So, if you are serious about trying to fit more travel in around your full-time work commitments, then we want you to accept this simple challenge. We want you to open a calendar and look at the next three months. Is there one weekend where you could turn a normal few days off into a mini adventure? We’re not talking about a destination that’s far away; it can be a city in your home country that you’ve never been to before, or somewhere that you’ve always wanted to visit that’s closer to home. And while you have the calendar open, take a look at the rest of the year. Are there any long weekends, bank holidays, or opportunities where you could squeeze in another trip? If you’ve accepted our weekly challenge, you’ll also find our guide on how to travel more around a full-time job helpful. It includes tips on how to maximise weekends, use your annual leave wisely and make the most of shorter trips. Read the full guide on how to travel more around a full-time job. We’d also love to hear from you…. If you accepted this week's challenge, where would your mini adventure be? Hit reply, and tell us where you're thinking of going. Whether it's a city break, a staycation or somewhere that's been on your wish list for years, Happy travelling Bev & Shams P.S.
